Who am I?

Seattle based, Texas born, queer artist who loves nature, chilling on the couch, and M&Ms. Oh, and breakfast tacos.

I’ve wanted to be an artist since I was a kid (technically author and illustrator on the first grade questionnaire), but ignored that dream for a long time, wandering through other potential occupations without being able to settle on anything feeling “right”. I’ve done a little of this, a little of that, but art is one thing that has always felt right, a thing that can reach all the way to or from my depths, the essence of me. Art is a process, and sometimes I “win” and sometimes I wonder what the heck was I thinking with that idea?, but overall it’s not a thing I can just quit, so even though the “starving artist” trope is real, I have an amazing spouse who is my biggest cheerleader and support, and I get to choose to finally try to live my dream of being a “real” artist.

I’m still working on the author part, trying my hand at writing novels, trying to learn multiple languages, and trying to grow a couple of bonsais. I consider myself a Renaissance human in that I have lots of interests and wish I could pursue all of them. I am also a photographer, Trekkie, reader of sci-fi, fantasy, and nonfiction, and enjoy rock tumbling (and shiny rocks).

The goal with my art and crafting is to make things that show your style and help you live a cozy and authentic life. I believe in honesty with yourself and others, and the boldness to be who you are. Your support is always appreciated, and I strive to put myself in all of my works.
